William Boyd, Of Counsel (Retired), has over fifty years of experience as trial and appellate counsel in civil litigation in both state and federal courts in Idaho. Bill’s practice included a broad range of areas, including corporate, environmental, mining, natural resources, labor, employment, business, and estate planning. He provided legal advice with respect to a range of corporate issues and provides public reporting when necessary. He is frequently chosen as local counsel for firms in larger cities.

Bill has been a member of the company negotiating teams for The Bunker Hill Company, Hecla Mining Company, Sunshine Mining Company, and Coeur Silver Valley, Inc. Bill has experience in NLRB representation elections, NLRB unfair labor practice charges, NLRB bargaining unit establishment, and gave advice concerning response to grievances, handling of arbitrations regarding breach of labor contracts, and advice with respect to employee discipline and termination.

Bill has handled various legal issues confronting public corporations, including labor negotiations, contracts for construction, employee issues, organization of water and sewer districts, employee policy manuals, issue of bonds for financing, road abandonment, advice to law enforcement officers, litigation, and purchases by public corporation of private corporation assets. Bill joined RMED, Of Counsel, in 2009 and entered his well earned “retirement” in 2019. He continues to be a valued presence in the office and mentors virtually everyone there.
